My family loves this resort! The beach is beautiful! The hotel and grounds are very clean. The restaurants are great and the buffet offers endless options. The pizza - and the view at the pizza restaurant is amazing! The main reason we return to this resort (7th time..) is the staff, specifically Nilson Herrera. He is always happy to see us, happy to help, and always smiling! We adore him!!

We loved this resort. It had great air conditioning nice pools and an amazing beach. We loved all the specialty restaurants, especially the Mexican and Tokyo ones.

A waste of time and money! The food was mediocre but the service was poor! There is no AC or fans in many of the restaurants, so we literally sweated through our meals. The AC in the room didn't function properly either, even in the Premium Club suites. And the rooms are in disrepair. Staff was argumentative and unhappy, and the salespeople selling excursions (Ormi, specifically) lied to us to to get the sale. Oh, bring cash, because they charge you 20% to use a credit card for excursions!

We travel a lot and understand approximately what we pay for and what we get, we liked staying at this hotel. We did not expect anything at the highest level since the hotel positions itself as a 4 star, we would especially note the presence of 2 large swimming pools, a good beach, new sun loungers, which unfortunately tourists begin to break, the presence of a jacuzzi. There was enough food, we came to relax and enjoy the sea and relax, and not eat constantly, but what is worth noting is that every day there were different types of meat, sometimes there was even duck and rabbit, there was baked salmon, shrimp, beef, grilled fish, many desserts, fruits, many salads and greens, sausage slices, jamon. I don't like it when tourists take a lot of food and then leave it behind. The staff is at a high level and there is enough of it, but of course it seems to me that there are not enough staff at the reception. We liked the free transfer service, early / late check-out. The hotel had good internet, which allowed me to spend less time on work and more on relaxation. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff for their work and efforts, there is no doubt that their efforts are priceless, as I am sure that it is difficult to work with such a large number of tourists with various wishes. And finally I would like to add, it is not necessary to say out loud who you support, and who is really the destroyer of peace, it was nice to see the corresponding demonstrative hints from the hotel as solidarity, this vacation allowed me to disconnect from all the negativity that is now happening in my country. One day I will come back here again :)

We are sad to think we only have 4 more days left at this beautiful resort. It has been so much fun. The food has been good especially the ala carte restaurants. The staff is what makes this place. Always smiling and willing to help. Shoutout to our amazing housekeeper Juana Guzman, she made sure our room was tidy and went above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable one. Juana you are a true delight and we loved chatting with you and seeing your smiling face. Thank you Occidental Caribe for a great family vacation.

The Occidental Caribe was a beautiful Place!!! Everything was amazing however the buffet food was a little bit of a struggle. If you can get into the restaurants they are really good. We had a wonderful concierge named Cliford who made sure every day was great for us. Booking restaurants and excursions he was very attentive. Also bring some bug spray. We didn’t really see any bugs but my boyfriend was bitten from the knees down by some bug that could be a no see um. We also had a great bartender named Katherine by the pool bar who was always bringing us drinks and was so friendly!!!! Don’t forget to tip your servers/bartenders!!! :)
